BCAA-X5 is 100% fermented leucine, isoleucine and valine. BCAA-X5 has been suggested to improve performance in several ways, including as a stimulant for muscle protein synthesis via leucine. BCAAs can also prevent muscle protein breakdown and reduce markers of exercise-induced muscle damage. BCCAs have the potential to act as a fuel source for muscles during exercise, although research on this is inconclusive. Finally, BCAAs can interfere with the transport of tryptophan into the brain, reducing the synthesis of serotonin and thus reducing the feeling of fatigue.

Addition of BCAA-X5 with resistance exercises increases muscle mass.
Increased muscle mass can benefit performance, and it comes from increasing the amount of structural proteins in the muscle, such as actin, myosin, troponin, etc., which are collectively known as myofibrillar proteins.
The balance between the synthesis and breakdown of these proteins over a period of time will determine changes in muscle size. Stimulating muscle protein synthesis, resulting in a positive net muscle protein balance, is a metabolic mechanism for increasing muscle size.

BCAA-X5 – reserve glycogen during exercise
Muscle glycogen levels have long been known to be critical to athletic performance, particularly in moderate to high intensity events. Glycogen is the main fuel source for muscles during exercise, and low levels contribute to fatigue. Therefore, if BCAAs can be used instead of glycogen in the early stages of exercise, glycogen can be spared and used later. Thus, exercise performance can be improved.
